I took his suggestion to heart and did in fact give my mother that hug and those words of praise and encouragement. His comment also led me to reach out to a friend I had not spoken to in months and to send a card to my vert best friend to remind her of the important role her friendship plays in my life.
I have five note cards with pre-stamped envelopes. I hope each of the finders has someone to send a heartfelt message to. Maybe the message will be something to a family member or friend the finder sees every day, or it might be a thank you to an old teacher or a co-worker. Whatever the message, I feel certain it will be meaningful to the recipient. Be kind!

I think that handwritten notes are one of the loveliest ways to spread joy in one's community/workplace/world. I make a point of writing at least one handwritten note to a coworker each week, just to encourage or congratulate them. I'm developing a reputation of which I'm proud, and it's not uncommon for someone to come to me and say "I think that 'Sally' could use a note of encouragement this week" or something like that. Now I'm just hoping that people will take the initiative to spread the love!
I am ashamed it has taken me this long to comment. I discovered your notecard over a month ago in One International Place, on a morning when I was feeling quite a bit of stress in my life. I was so touched to have found it. Finding this gift and learning about all of your generosity and kindness really touched my heart, and not only did it calm and brighten my energy on that stressful morning, but it also put a positive spin on the entire day. In fact, I honestly felt the positive effects of your kindness for quite some time after; I have told many people about the experience and I have reflected on it many times since. It has just taken me too long to actually post a comment and express how grateful I am. Also, I would like to share how this gift was even more meaningful to me in a very special way. Someone very close to me passed away many years ago, and one day, shortly after their death, I was in the Boston Common when I saw a ladybug sticker that reminded me of them and made me remember a time with this person which involved finding a ladybug...my mind was wrapped up in the memory and I was picturing it vividly in a daydream state...as I "snapped back" from my daydream I realized that an actual ladybug had landed on my shirt. It was one of the most special moments of my life, and I truely feel that this angel from my life sent me that ladybug to let me know that their spirit was with me while I was thinking of them. For the entire rest of the Spring and the Summer lady bugs landed on me all the time! I would also find them in my home. In the years since I notice that ladybugs find me when I need to be reminded on this person most. Like I said before, the morning that I found this pre-stamped notecard and message from the undercover ladybug I was in the midst of a stressful time. Not only was this kind generosity just the reminder I needed to calm myself and direct my energy toward something positive and happy, but it was also a beautiful reminder of the angel looking over me. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! You are a living angel. Please know that I did use the card and wrote a note to someone who I ought to keep in touch with more often, to let them know that I was thinking of them. I know that they appreciated it very much. I will return to this blogsite often for inspiration and enjoyment. (I hope you still see this comment to this blog posting, even though I am submitting it over a month after you posted it!)
